“These tools are so invaluable for me when giving healings, and also in my daily life.
I feel held, less reactive and more protected, while at the same time open hearted.”

A deep love flows through me as I ask God the question, “What is healing?” I get chills, feeling as though the response is about to be deeply profound, life changing, and enlightening. I breathe and practice the Sufi Meditation of Remembrance. Remembrance means to meditate upon God. A door opens in my heart, and the response becomes clear.
We often think of healing when there is something wrong with us, something painful or broken. But when I meditate on this response, “Healing means to get closer to God.” I don’t believe that anything needs to be wrong in order to receive healing. Yes, of course healing is the prayer for when we are sick, healing from disease or an accident.
I have heard people say, “I don’t want to be in a constant state of healing as if there is something wrong with me.” And when I receive the definition of healing I explained above, my heart says, “I want to be in a constant state of healing”, a constant spiraling closer and closer to God.
I asked this question as well. “Dear God, what does it mean to be close to You?”
Using the same process, I pause, breathe, pray, and listen.
What I felt is this response.
It means to ask God for help with everything.
It means to soften my heart towards myself and others.
It means to allow a sweetness to flow through my being that I know is from God and not myself.
It means to ask God’s permission when making decisions major and minor.
It means Divine Love carries me daily.
It means I am aware of how God’s Love is carrying me.
It means I see, hear, and feel God’s Presence as Loving and Kind.
It means my awareness of God grows daily.
Remembrance is the main Sufi Meditation because we are remembering our original nature. We came from God and we will return to God. But does that mean we are separate from God in between our birth and death? No, we remember daily we are not separate from God. The Unity exists always, and we are all interconnected in this energetic field with no separation.
The Unity is a state of consciousness. It is a spiritual experience or feeling that concept of interconnectedness. The breath connects us, we all breathe the same air. Gravity holds us down, the Earth supports us all. But beyond the physical what connects us? We are all threads of fabric of the same tapestry of the Soul. The Divine Qualities infuse this tapestry. Currents of light connect us. Our cells vibrate with the frequency of God’s Love. Behind every element of the creation are God’s Guiding Hands.
Faith is to believe in the unseen. The Sufi Path teaches us to experience the unseen. To feel God’s Love, to receive messages delivered on currents of Light, and to ask God for more awareness of God’s Presence daily.
